Frequently asked questions

1)  Do you sell prints of your artwork?

     Yes, I have 25 paintings at any given time posted on Fine Art America where you can order various types from wood to metal prints of my artwork.

2)  What is the cost for shipping?

     Prices displayed for artwork includes packaging/crating, insurance and shipping for Canada and the U.S.  Should you wish to pick up the painting from my studio, shipping rate will be deducted.  If your intention is to pick up painting please let me know so we can arrange for a mutually convenient time. Click on "Contact" to send me a message. Please note that shipping rates vary depending on size of painting and destination.  Shipping is not included if the artwork is offered with a coupon, percentage and or monetary discount.

3)  Do you provide international delivery? 

     Yes we do! All products listed are available for delivery anywhere around the world. Due to courier and shipping laws, delivery fees may be subject to change based on size and insurance value of product. Should there be a change in fee we will notify you before completing the  transaction. 

4)  What are your delivery options?

      We offer Standard international delivery that ranges from 2-11 business days depending on your location.


5)   How do I track my order?

       After we have shipped your order, you will receive a confirmation e-mail along with a tracking number.

6)  What types of payment do you accept?

     The shopping cart will take you to PayPal where you can decide to pay with your credit card or with your PayPal account.  You can also send payment by cheque or money order to : Geoffrey Darwent, P.O. Box 55015 Belmore, Montreal, Quebec  H4V 0A1  Canada or by Western Union. You can also send payment by Interac to my email address: gd.darwent@gmail.com

7)  Can I pay for the artwork in monthly instalments? 

     Yes.  The artwork can be paid in three or six monthly instalments by sending three post dated cheques.  Let me know which painting you want and I will set it aside for you.  The painting will be shipped once payment has been received in full. You can also make the payments using the suggested payment types mentioned above (What types of payments do you accept?).

8)  How do I return an item?  What if my package is damaged?

    We strongly believe that you never truly experience a piece of contemporary art until you have lived with it.  The Gallery offers a seven-day return policy guarantee credit to be applied towards any other painting of your choice.


    Buy from my online art gallery, live with your chosen artwork for one week, and if you are not entirely happy - return it to us in the same condition it arrived.

    We will issue you a full credit on the purchase price of the art, but  you will be liable for the return shipping. 


    You must ensure that the artwork is securely packaged for return shipping. At this time, there are no returns on special orders or orders shipped outside of Canada.  We will not accept returns for     items that have been damaged in transit due to insufficient packaging. If this is found to be the case, the item will be returned to the customer at the customer’s expense. 


   * Client is liable for the cost of the return shipping.

   * Commissioned artwork may not be returned.

   * Artworks that have been removed from their stretchers for cost effective shipping cannot be returned


     Returns Process

     If you would like to return an item, please email us at info@darwent-paintings.com within 7 days of receiving your artwork, stating your reason for wishing to return the item as well as the collection date and address.  We will schedule a courier to collect the artwork and send you a confirmation email. Please print out this email and include it with the artwork being returned. We will credit your purchase after the artwork is received and item checked. We will do everything we can to process refunds quickly, but please allow up to 10 working days.
