My mission:  To enrich the world around me with art.

 

Here’s my experiment: To let you set the price for the painting that you would like to purchase. The price you see listed, represents the cost of materials only.  So whatever you choose to pay above and beyond the listed price will be accepted and would go towards my work.

 

Picking up the artwork from my studio would further save you the cost of shipping.  Otherwise, the cost of crating and shipping would be added.

 

HOW IT WORKS:

 

On my website www.darwent-paintings.com , each item will show the base price. 

 

Once you have decided on the item you want to acquire, you would send me a message through the website, giving me the name/description of the item and the price you choose to pay for it.

 

The final price will depend on whether you want the artwork crated and shipped or if it will be picked up at my studio.  If you want it shipped please provide your zip code / postal code to determine the additional cost.

 

Once I receive your message with the new price you have chosen to pay for the painting, I will re-list the item with your price along with crating and shipping cost if applicable.  You will then be notified to go to my website and make the purchase. 

 

Payments are done through PayPal.  However, if you do not have a PayPal account and prefer to pay by e-transfer, send payment to gd.darwent@gmail.com

    Purchase of artwork does not include shipping.  Paintings are shipped by standard mail and shipping time for Canada and the United States can take from 3 to 11 business days depending on destination.  Should you have any questions please get in touch with me.

Frequently asked questions

1)  Do you sell prints of your artwork?

     Yes! Go to the "Prints" page and choose any of my prints that are offered in several types of applications.

2)  What is the cost for shipping?

     Prices displayed for artwork include the cost for shipping for customers living in the U.S. and Canada only.   Artwork can also be picked up from my studio.   If your intention is to pick up a painting (s) please let me know so that we can arrange for a mutually convenient time. Click on "Contact" to send me a message. Please note that shipping rates vary depending on size of painting and destination but to give you an idea, the average cost to ship a 16"x20" canvas is approximately $40 dollars (forty dollars).

3)  Do you provide international delivery? 

      Yes and shipping rates will depend on crating, insurance and destination. The artwork can also be packaged and crated for the client to take away.

4)  What are your delivery options?

      We offer Standard international delivery that ranges from 2-11 business days depending on your location.

 

5)   How do I track my order?

       After we have shipped your order, you will receive a confirmation e-mail along with a tracking number.

6)  What types of payment do you accept?

     The shopping cart will take you to PayPal.

7)  Can I pay for the artwork in monthly instalments? 

   Yes, for artwork (s) sold for three thousand dollars and or more, payment can be made in three equal monthly instalments.  The painting (s) is shipped only after receiving payment in full.


8)  How do I return an item?  What if my package is damaged?

    We strongly believe that you never truly experience a piece of contemporary art until you have lived with it.  I offer a seven-day return policy guarantee.

   

    Buy from my online art gallery, live with your chosen artwork for one week, and if you are not entirely happy - return it to us in the same condition it arrived.

    We will issue you a full credit on the purchase price of the art, but  you will be liable for the return shipping. 

 

    You must ensure that the artwork is securely packaged for return shipping. At this time, there are no returns on special orders or orders shipped outside of Canada.  We will not accept returns for items that have been damaged in transit due to insufficient packaging. If this is found to be the case, the item will be returned to the customer at the customer’s expense. 

 

   * Client is liable for the cost of the return shipping.

   * Commissioned artwork may not be returned.

   * Artworks that have been removed from their stretchers for cost effective shipping cannot be returned

 

     Returns Process

     If you would like to return an item, please email us at info@darwent-paintings.com within 7 days of receiving your artwork, stating your reason for wishing to return the item as well as the collection date and address.  We will schedule a courier to collect the artwork and send you a confirmation email. Please print out this email and include it with the artwork being returned. We will credit your purchase after the artwork is received and item checked. We will do everything we can to process refunds quickly, but please allow up to 10 working days.
