Frequently asked questions

1)  Do you sell prints of your artwork?

     Yes I do.  Simply send me an email by going to the "CONTACT" page and let me know what you are interested in receiving.

2)  What is the cost for shipping?

     Prices displayed for artwork do not include the cost for shipping.  Should you wish to do so, artwork can be picked up from my studio.   If your intention is to pick up a painting (s) please let me know so that we can arrange for a mutually convenient time. Click on "Contact" to send me a message. You can also send me an email to gd.darwent@gmail.com . Please note that shipping rates vary depending on size of painting and destination.  

3)  Do you provide international delivery? 

     The artwork can be packaged and crated for the client to take away. However, we only presently ship to Canada and the U.S. 

4)  What are your delivery options?

      We offer Standard international delivery that ranges from 2-11 business days depending on your location.


5)   How do I track my order?

       After we have shipped your order, you will receive a confirmation e-mail along with a tracking number.

6)  What types of payment do you accept?

     The shopping cart will take you to PayPal where you can decide to pay with your credit card or with your PayPal account.

7)  Can I pay for the artwork in monthly instalments? 

   Unfortunately not. All artwork has been very reasonably priced and so must be paid for in full.  Artwork is shipped only after receiving payment.  To understand the total cost of your purchase, add the price of the painting, shipping cost, and applicable taxes.

8)  How do I return an item?  What if my package is damaged?

    We strongly believe that you never truly experience a piece of contemporary art until you have lived with it.  The Gallery offers a seven-day return policy guarantee credit to be applied towards any other painting of your choice.


    Buy from my online art gallery, live with your chosen artwork for one week, and if you are not entirely happy - return it to us in the same condition it arrived.

    We will issue you a full credit on the purchase price of the art, but  you will be liable for the return shipping. 


    You must ensure that the artwork is securely packaged for return shipping. At this time, there are no returns on special orders or orders shipped outside of Canada.  We will not accept returns for items that have been damaged in transit due to insufficient packaging. If this is found to be the case, the item will be returned to the customer at the customer’s expense. 


   * Client is liable for the cost of the return shipping.

   * Commissioned artwork may not be returned.

   * Artworks that have been removed from their stretchers for cost effective shipping cannot be returned


     Returns Process

     If you would like to return an item, please email us at info@darwent-paintings.com within 7 days of receiving your artwork, stating your reason for wishing to return the item as well as the collection date and address.  We will schedule a courier to collect the artwork and send you a confirmation email. Please print out this email and include it with the artwork being returned. We will credit your purchase after the artwork is received and item checked. We will do everything we can to process refunds quickly, but please allow up to 10 working days.
